To visit by water, you will need to get a reservation by calling Oakland Marinas at (510) 834-4591. Make sure you tell them you would like to stay at Jack London Square.
The marina’s location is close to a lot of fun things, but it is also near the heart of the city and the freeways, so it is not very quiet.
Go there for the restaurants, farmer’s markets, nightlife, and museums, not for nature hikes.
