Our Story

Finding Home in Discovery Bay

The call they'd been waiting for came in Winter 2010: Discovery Bay Yacht Harbor had a sales office available on the Boardwalk with four sales slips. By March 2011, Simpson Yachts had found its permanent home in the heart of the Bay Area's most active boating community.

This location wasn't just business - it was community. Chris and Amy had lived in Discovery Bay and understood what made this boating community special. The move represented their commitment to becoming integral parts of the community they serve.

Simpson Yacht Sales founded in Stockton​

The Beginning

Chris and Amy Simpson met in 1991 at CSU Chico, where both earned Finance and Marketing degrees. After marriage in 1998, they settled into corporate careers - Chris as a Data Administrative Analyst with Moody's Financial Services, Amy as an Office and Project Manager for a marketing firm.

But life beyond cubicles was calling. In 1999, they made a bold decision to pursue their passions: Chris entered the boating industry, Amy explored teaching. This wasn't just a career change - it was the foundation of a business built on personal passion for boating and genuine care for clients.
