Who we are: Simpson Yachts, operating from the Boardwalk at Discovery Bay Marina, Discovery Bay, CA.

1) Scope

This Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you visit our Site, contact us, request valuations, list or purchase a vessel through us, or subscribe to our communications. It also explains choices and rights for California residents and other U.S. states.

Sensitive personal information: We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (e.g., SSN, precise geolocation, health, union membership) via the Site. Do not send sensitive data through general contact forms. If sensitive data is needed to perform a regulated transaction, we’ll collect it securely and only for that purpose. 3) Sources

  • Directly from you (forms, calls, emails, in-person).

  • Automatically from your device/browser (cookies, analytics).

  • Public sources and service providers (e.g., MLS data tied to vessel marketing).

4) How we use personal information

  • To provide brokerage services (valuations, listings, marketing, showings, offers, closings).

  • To respond to messages and schedule appointments.

  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site (including analytics).

  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud.

  • With your consent, to send newsletters and marketing (you may opt out anytime).

5) Sharing and disclosure

We share personal information only as needed to operate our business:

  • Service providers/contractors (e.g., web hosting, email, analytics, photography, escrow/title, documentation specialists). They may only use data on our instructions.

  • Legal/compliance (e.g., to comply with laws, respond to lawful requests, protect rights/safety).

  • Business transfers (e.g., merger or reorganization).

Sale/Sharing for ads: We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link and honor browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. 6) Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site running and to understand aggregate usage. You can manage cookies via your browser and (if implemented) our Cookie Settings link. Note that blocking cookies may affect Site functionality. If we enable advertising or remarketing cookies in the future, we will update this Policy and provide appropriate opt-outs.

7) Email and SMS

  • Email: We may send service and marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of any marketing email. Service emails related to transactions are not “marketing” and you’ll still receive them while a transaction is active.

  • SMS/Calls: If you provide a mobile number and consent to SMS, message/data rates may apply. You can opt out by replying STOP.

8) Your privacy rights

California residents (CPRA)

You may have the right to: (1) know/access the personal information we collect and how we use/disclose it; (2) delete personal information; (3) correct inaccurate information; (4) limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information (if collected for inferring characteristics); and (5) be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We provide a Notice at Collection above and in our forms. If we ever sell/share data for targeted advertising, you will have the right to opt out and we will honor GPC signals automatically. How to make a request:
Email privacy@simpsonyachts.com or call (925) 757-6655. Please tell us your name, contact details, what you’re requesting (access, delete, correct, etc.), and any helpful context (e.g., the email you used with us). We’ll verify your identity before fulfilling a request and respond within the time required by law. Authorized agents may submit requests with proper authorization.

Other U.S. states

If you live in a state with similar privacy rights (e.g., access, delete, correct, opt-out of targeted ads), contact us using the methods above. If your state requires an appeal process for denied requests, you may reply to our decision and we’ll provide appeal instructions.

9) Do Not Track / GPC

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track.” We currently respond to Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by California law. (California DOJ Attorney General)

10) Data security

We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No system is 100% secure; please use care when transmitting information online.

11) Children’s privacy

Our Site and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12) Third-party links

Our Site may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

13) International visitors

If you visit from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. Laws in the U.S. may differ from those in your country.

14) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” will reflect the latest version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
